Cast Iron Sytsems, a developer of cloud integration software, has been acquired by
IBM. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Cast Iron Systems was venture backed by Sequoia Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, and Tenaya Capital. According to IBM, the acquisition will expand its business process and integration software portfolio. Cast Iron's customers include Allianz, NEC, Peet's Coffee & Tea, Dow Jones, Schumacher Group, ShoreTel, Sports Authority, Time Warner, Westmont University and others. IBM said it would integrate Cast Iron's approximately 75 employees into the firm.
