BlockChalk, which operates a location-based, mobile community service for local neighborhoods, said today that it has raised a round of seed financing. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. The funding came from Battery Ventures, Mitch Kapor, Harrison Metal, Founder Collective, Joshua Schachter, Josh Stylman, Tom McInerney, and David Liu. The firm said the funding will go toward the next generation of its service.
