HP Acquires Fortify Software
Palo Alto-based HP announed this morning it is in a definitive agreement to acquire Fortify Software, a developer of software security products based in San Mateo. Financial terms of the deal were not disclsoed. HP said the acquisition will allow it to offer a solution for reducing business risk, meet compliance regulations, and protect against malicious application attacks. Fortify was headed by John M. Jack, and was backed by Duff Ackerman and Goodrich, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, and Sigma Partners.
