MarkMonitor Buys DtecNet
San Francisco-based MarkMonitor, a provider of Internet brand protection services, said Monday that it has acquired DtecNet, a provider of anti-piracy technology. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. MarkMonitor is based in Europe, with personnel in Denmark, and Lithuania. DtecNet's technology is used to find and monitor illegal downloads on peer-to-peer networks and other Internet sites.
