Ludic Labs Acquired By Groupon, As Groupon Expands In Palo Alto
San Mateo-based Ludic Labs, a developer of local marketing services, has been acquired by deals site Groupon, Groupon said Tuesday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The acquisition came as Groupon said it is opening up a new, Palo Alto office for the firm, with 12,000 square feet in the California Avenue neighborhood of Palo Alto. Groupon said it expects to grow to more than 100 employees in Palo Alto within the next year. Dr. Brian Totty, CEO of Ludic Labs, has become head of engineering for Groupon.
