Google Bids On Nortel Patents
Mountain View-based Google said today that it has made a bid on the patent portfolio of Nortel. Google said that the firm made the bid in Nortel's bankruptcy auction, as part of a bid to build up a patent portfolio to help create a disincentive for others to sue Google, and also to help its partners and the open source community.
