Google Chops Google Health, Google PowerMeter
Mountain View-based Google said Friday that it is cutting two of its products, after they failed to catch on with consumers. The firm said it is retiring Google Health on January 1, 2012, and retiring Google PowerMeter on September 16, 2011. Google Health was an attempt by Google to provide a place to manage personal health and wellness information; Google PowerMeter allowed users to monitor their smart meters and home power consumption.
