Google Rolls First eBooks Reader
Mountain View-based Google revealed this morning that the first, e-reader integrated with its Google eBooks platform will debut this week. Google said that the iriver Story HD e-reader, available at Target stores this coming Sunday is the first electronic book reader to support its Google eBooks platform. The platform allows users to buy and read electronics books over a Wi-Fi connection. The e-book marketplace competes with Amazon and other electronic book formats.
