Intel Buys Switching Semiconductor Firm
Santa Clara-based Intel Corporation said this morning that it has acquired Fulcrum Microsystems, a developer of Ethernet switch silicon for data center networks. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Fulcrum is based in Calabasas, California, and was venture backed by Granite Ventures, Infinity Capital, New Enterprise Associates, Palomar Ventures, and others.
