Clean Power Finance Gets $75M From Google, For Solar Finance Fund
Mountain View-based Google is expanding its investments in the clean power arena today, saying it has invested $75M in a solar finance fund for Clean Power Finance. The funding will go towards financing residential financing for solar panel installs. Google was one of the equity investors in an equity investment in Clean Power Finance which was announced earlier this month, worth $25M. The funding will go towards financing solar leases, where a financial provider pays for the installation of solar power in exchange for regular monthly payments from a property owner.
