Aicent Gets Backing From TA Associates
San Jose-based Aicent, a provider of data network and mobile services to network operators, has scored an investment from private equity firm TA Associates, the firms said today. Size of the investment was not disclosed, however, the firms described the investment as "significant." Aicent provides mobile network operators with data delivery services, which emables send and receive of SMS or MMS serviecs across different mobile newtorks. The firm's clients include AT&T, Verizon, DoCoMo, Deutsche Telecom, Telefonica O2, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom.
