TriplePoint Capital said Wednesday that it has raised a $1 billion, private capital fund intended to be used for venture leading and lending. The firm said the venture debt fund was raised from institutional and private funds from Wafra Capital Partners and other investors. The fund said its has provided venture debt to Facebook, YouTube (Google), AppNexus, Bloom Energy, Chegg, Etsy, Gilt Groupe, Oncomed Pharmaceuticals, One Kings Lane, Shazam Entertainment, Splunk and Square, among others.
