PMC-Sierra Buys Product Line From Maxim
Sunnyvale-based PMC-Sierra said this morning that it has acquired the 12 Gb/s SAS Expander product line owned by Maxim. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to PMC, it has acquired the Server Storage 12 Gb/s Expander Product Line in order to offer end-to-end 12 Gb/s SAS products. Maxim's group working on the products was based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
