MobileIron, which develops mobile IT management and security software, said yesterday that it has raised $40M, in a Series E financing round. The round was led by Institutional Venture Partners, and also included Foundation Capital, Norwest Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, and Storm Ventures. The company said it has now raised $97M in total funding. The new round goes towards product development and growth. MobileIron is headed by Bob Tinker, and provides software used by enterprises to manage their mobile devices and assets.
