Mayfield Fund Closes $365M Fund
Menlo Park-based venture capital firm Mayfield announced Thursday that it has closed Mayfield XIV, a new, $365M venture capital fund. Mayfield said the new fund will be invested in early-stage mobile, cloud/SaaS, social, energytech, and big data companies. The new fund will be headed by Navin Chadda, Tim Chang, Robin Vasan, Rajeev Batra, and James Beck. The firm said it specifically kept the fund below $400M, due to its early-stage investing focus, and despite being oversubscribed on the venture capital firm. The firm said the funding is its third, sub-$400M fund raised.
