Apple Acquires AuthenTec
Cupertino-based Apple has agreed to acquire AuthenTec, a developer of fingerprint sensors and other security products, in a deal worth $356M, AuthenTec said this morning. According to AuthentTec, Apple will pay $8.00 per share for the publicly traded firm. AuthenTec said it was advised by Piper Jafray & Co, as well as Alston & Bird LLP in the deal.
