Google Gets Challenge From Bing
Mountain View-based Google is once again seeing a big push by Microsoft to challenge its dominant, search engine position, with a new campaign for the Bing search engine. Bing launched a new Bing It On Challenge Thursday--complete with a television and online advertising blitz--to challenge users to run their own searches, and vote blindly on which search engine provides better results. Bing is looking to show that its provides as good as, or better, results than Google, and have users share those results on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. The effort is the newest move by Bing to try to gain a wedge into Google's dominance in search.
