Riverbed Closes OPNET Buy
San Francisco-based Riverbed said Tuesday that it has completed its acquisition of OPNET Technologies, which develops application and network performance tools. The deal was originally announced in October, and is worth approximately $1 billion. Riverbed said it would merge its Cascade business unit and OPNET into a new Riverbed Performance Management business unit, led by General Manager Paul Brady. Riverbed had been led by Jerry Kennelly.
