Yahoo Buys Two Companies, Shuts Them Down
Sunnyvale-based Yahoo appears to be an acquisitive mood today, with two companies--Milewise and GoPollGo--both saying they were acquired by Yahoo this morning. Financial details of the two, separate transactions were not announced. Milewise operates an online service to help users track their airline miles, and is based in New York. GoPollGo is a developer of polling software. Both services are being shutdown as part of the acquisitions.
