San Francisco-based Mochi Media said today that the firm has launched a new, self-service advertising product for its online games service. According to Mochi Media, its new self-service advertising product is targeted at small and medium-sized advertisers, and allows them to place ads within online games distributed by the firm. The company also claimed that it had "record growth" in 2008, saying that it now has over 2,100 Flash game creators, 8,600 casual games, and around 96 million unique users per month. Financial impact of that growth was not detailed. Mochi Media is venture backed by Shasta Ventures and Accel Partners.
