Myoscience Land $33M Funding

Redwood City-based Myoscience, a developer of medical devices which use cold to treat wrinkles, pain, and certain dermatologic conditions, said today that it has raised $33M in a Series D funding round. The round came from Accuitive Medical Ventures, American Equities Overseas, DeNovo Ventures, Medicis Capital, Nexus Medical Partners, Saratoga Ventures, and Valiance. According to Myoscience, it is also expecting a second tranche in the funding, worth $12M. The new funding will go towards commercializing its products, with an initial focus in Europe on treating forehead wrinkles. More information »
