    Google Translate Adds More Languages
    Mountain View-based Google said Thursday afternoon that the firm has added 10 new languages to its web page translation service. The new languages bring the total supported languages to 23. The additional languages include Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Finnish, Hindi, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian and Swedish. The updated service also includes a new cross-language search feature.

    Novasys Medical Gets $49.5M For Incontinence Treatment
    Newark, California-based Novasys Medical, which is developing treatments for incontinence in women, said it has raised $49.5M in a Series D funding. The new funding round was led by Versant Ventures, and also included new investors Three Arch Partners and Skyline Ventures.     Mozes Gets $11.5M
    Palo Alto-based Mozes announced Thursday that the firm has raised $11.5M in a Series B funding. The round was led by Maveron, and also included prior investors North Bridge Venture Partners and Norwest Venture Partners. The funding brings the company's total raised to $16.5M. Mozes develops a mobile marketing service which uses text messaging, voice, and the web to engage consumers.

    Ask.com Buys Lexico
    Oakland-based Ask.com said today that it has acquired Lexico Publishing Group, the owner of Dictionary.com, Thesaurus.com, and Reference.com, in an all-cash deal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ask said the acquisition will grow the firm's user base to more than 145 monthly unique visitors. Ask said that Lexico is profitable, and has been showing high double digit growth for the past two years.

    Socialtext Names Farris To Board
    Palo Alto-based wiki software firm Socialtext said this morning that it has named Julie Hanna Farris to the company's board of directors. Farris was the founder and CEO of Scalix, and formerly an EIR at Mayfield. Farris also founded onebox.com, and served at Portola Communications, and IBM/Lotus. Farris joins Tim Draper of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Joi Ito, Ross Mayfield, and Eugene Lee on the company's board.     CBS Buys CNET For $1.8B
    CBS Corporation said today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire CNET Networks, in a deal worth approximately $1.8 billion in cash. According to CBS, it will make a cash tender offer of $11.50 per share for CNET Networks. CNET operates entertainment, news, and information sites including ZdNet, GameSpot, UrbanBaby, TechRepublic, and other sites; the firm had revenues of $406M in 2007.
