![]() Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Nanosolar Raises $300M San Jose-based utility-scale solar technology firm NanoSolar said today that the firm has raised $300M in a strategic equity financing. According to nanoSolar, the funding came from Riverstone Holdings, EDF Renewables, and AES Solar, the funding arms of AES Corporation, the Carlyle Group, EDF, and Energy Capital Partners. Other investors in the round included Lone Pine Capital, the Skoll Foundation, and Pierre Omidyar. Cisco said it will pay approximately $215M for PostPath. Cisco said the buy would enhance the firm's existing Cisco WebEx Connect collaboration platform. PostPath's Linux-based software will become part of Cisco's Collaboration Software Group (CSG).
