The new funding came from current investors Claremont Creek Ventures and Sequoia Capital, along with new investor Alafi Capital. Gene Security Network is developing diagnostics used for genetic testing during in-vitro fertilization. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however, Sun said that the transaction was not material to the firm. Q-layer develops software which is used to manage provisioning of servers, storage, and other products in virtualized datacenters.
