    iSkoot Snags VP From eBay
    San Francisco-based iSkoot, a developer of web services for mobile handsets, said Thursday that the firm has snagged talent from eBay for its newest executive. According to iSkoot, it has named Wayne Fenton as Vice President of Global Product Development and Engineering. Fenton was most recently an enterprise architect at eBay, and has also served at Cisco Systems, Latitude Communications, and Oracle Corporation.     Virsto Software Gains $7M
    Mountain View-based Virsto Software, a developer of storage specifically designed for the virtual server market, said Thursday that the firm has raised $7M in a Series A funding round. The round was led by August Capital, and also included Canaan Partners, which originally seeded Virsto in 2008. According to the firm, Vivek Mehra of August Capital joins the company's board along with the funding.
