    Gold Standard Diagnostics Snags Series A
    Davis-based Gold Standard Diagnostics, a firm providing tools for the medical research and laboratory diagnostics industry, said Tuesday that it has raised a Series A round of funding. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. The firm said the round was led by private investor Roger Salquist, who also joins the company's baord of directors. Salquist was founding Partner and Managing Director of Bay City Capital, and also served as Chairman and CEO of Calgene, among other firms.

    Force10 Files For IPO
    San Jose-based Force 10 Networks filed for an IPO Tuesday, saying it is looking to raise up to $143.75M on the NYSE. The firm said it hopes to trade under the symbol FTEN. The IPO is being underwritten by J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank Securities, Barclays Capital, Baird, Cowen and Company, RBC Capital Markets, and Pacific Crest Securities.     TripIt Adds Business Travel Groups
    San Francisco-based TripIt is looking to attract more business travelers this morning, with a new business group function on the site. According to TripIt, it is offering a new TripIt Groups feature, which allows business travelers to see where other employees in their company are traveling.     NetBase Gets $9M
    Mountain View-based NetBase, a developer of semantic search tools for enterprises, said today that it has raised $9M in a Series C funding round. According to the firm, the round came from Altos Ventures and Thomvest Ventures. Netbase said the new funding will go towards buildout of sales, marketing, business development, and product management. Netbase is headed by Jonathan Spier.

    SYNNEX Buys Jack of All Games
    Fremont-based SYNNEX said today that it has acquired substantially all of the North American assets of Jack of All Games, Inc., a distributor of video game hardware and software. Jack of All Games was a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. The deal was worth $44.0M in cash. SYNNEX said Jack of All Games will become part of its New Age Electronics division.

    Pivot3 Nabs $25M
    Pivot3, a developer of iSCSI data storage products, said today that it has raised $25M in a funding round. The firm has its Silicon Valley office in Palo Alto, with other operations in Texas. The funding was led by Focus Ventures, and also included prior investors InterWest Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Mesirow Financial Capital Partners IX, and Silver Creek Ventures. Pivot3 said the new funding will go towards expanding sales, as well as development efforts.

    Altor Lands $10M Series B
    Redwood Shores-based Altor Networks, a developer of security products for the virtual data center market, said today that it has closed a Series B funding round worth $10M. Altor said the round came from DAG Ventures, Juniper Networks, Accel Partners, and Foundataion Capital. The firm said the new funding will go to expand its global sales and marketing efforts. Altor develops security products specifically for virtualized data centers and the cloud computing market.

    Audience Collects $15M More
    Mountain View-based Audience, a developer of voice processing semiconductors, announced today that it has raised $15M in additional funding in a Series E funding round. The funding brings the company's total raised to $75M. According to Audience, the funding came from existinv investors New Enterprise Associates, Tallwood Venture Capital, Vulcan Capital, and VentureTech Alliance.
