    Alien Technology Beams Up $10.9M
    Morgan Hill-based Alien Technology, a developer of RFID ICs, readers, and other products, said this week that it has raised $10.9M more in new financing. The round came from existing investors Advanced Equities, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Sunbridge Partners. The firm did not say what it intends to do with the new funding.

    Brix Group Gets $12.0M Credit Facility
    The Brix Group, and its subsidiaries Pana-Pacific Corporation and Brix Exclusive Inc., dba American Wireless, have scored $12.0M in a credit facility, according to funder Bridge Bank. Bridge said that The Brix Group, which is a national distributor and value added integrator in the wireless communications and trucking industries, it tapping the firm for working capital needs for its electronics and wireless communication operations.

    ShareThis Taps Tim Draper For Board
    Mountain View-based ShareThis, an online service which allows people to share videos, pictures, articles, and other information, said earlier this week that it has named Tim Draper, of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, to its board of directors. ShareThis is backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Blue Chip Venture Company, DFJ Mercury, Reservoir Partners, Illinois Ventures, Queen City Angels and RPM Ventures.

    TiVo Wins Ruling In Lawsuit Against Dish, EchoStar
    Alviso-based digital video recorder firm Tivo has scored a win in the U.S. Court of Appeals, in its lawsuit against EchoStar. According to TiVo, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit fully affirmed the district court's finding of contempt against EchoStar, clearing the way for the firm to received around $300M in damages and sanctions.     TripIt Gets $7M More
    San Francisco-based TripIt, a developer of travel management tools, said today that it has raised $7M in a third round of funding. The firm said that the funding was led by Azure Capital Partners and O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures. The funding brings the company's total raised to $13.1M. TripIt claimed the round was oversubscribed.

    Vaxart Gets $12.5M For Oral Vaccines
    San Francisco-based Vaxart, a developer of oral vaccines, said today that it has raised $12.5M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Care Capital. As part of the funding, Richard Markham and Jan Leschly of Care Capital have joined the firm's board of directors. Vaxart said it will use the funding to advance its lead product, an oral vaccine for Avian influenza, through Phase I clinical trials.

    Agilent Loses CFO To Skype
    Santa Clara-based Agilent Technologies said Wednesday afternoon that the firm's EVP and CFO, Adrian T. Dillon, is resigning from his position, as of April 1st, to join Skype. According to Agilent, Dillon is becoming Chief Financial and Administration Officer at Skype. Agilent said it is appointing Didier HIrsch, currently Vice President, Corporate Controllership and Tax, as acting CFO, while it looks for a replacement.

    MindJolt Acquired By MySpace Founders
    San Francisco-based online social gaming site MindJolt has been acquired by three founders of social networking site MySpace. Chris DeWolfe, Colin Digiaro, and Aber Whitcomb, the founders of MySpace, said Wednesday that they have partnered with Austin Ventures to acquire MindJolt. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, however, the financing was reportedly worth $20M. MindJolt is a developer of games for Facebook and other social networking sites.
