    Apigee Buys Usergrid
    Palo Alto-based Apigee said today that it has acquired San Francisco-based Usergrid, a developer of cloud-based software used for providing services to mobile apps. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Apigee, which provides application programming interfaces (APIs) for a variety of services, said the acquisition will add a core set of APIs for mobile applications to its suite of software.     Nexenta Systems Sees $21M
    Mountain View-based Nexenta Systems, which develops storage software used for deploying enterprise class, cloud storage, said today that it has raised $21M in a Series C round. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, and also included Sierra Ventures and Razor's Edge Ventures. Nexenta said the funding will go towards growth and expansion.     6waves Lolapps Acquires Escalation Studios
    San Francisco-based 6waves Lolapps, a social games developer, said today that it has acquired Escalation Studios, a Dallas-based mobile game developer. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. 6waves said the buy brings its overall headcount to 210 employees. 6waves explained that Escalation Studios' Tom Mustaine and Marc Tardiff have become Design Directors, and co-founder Shawn Green becomes Director of Engineering.     Tidemark Raises $24M
    Redwood City-based Tidemark, a developer of enterprise performance management software, announce today that it has raised $24M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, and also included Greylock Partners, Andreessen Horowitz and Dave Duffield (Workday). The firm says it has now raise more than $35M.     Plastic Jungle Scores Investment From Citi
    San Mateo-based Plastic Jungle, which operates an online marketplace for buying and selling gift cards, said this morning that it has scored a strategic investment from Citi Ventures, the investment arm of Citigroup. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Plastic Jungle said the funding will go towards accelerating its growth. Plastic Jungle is headed by Bruce Bower.
