    Quora Raises $50M At $400M Valuation, Says Report
    Online question-and-answer site Quora has reportedly raised another $50M in funding, valuing the firm at $400M, according to a report today. The WSJ, quoting people familiar with the deal, said the funding came from Peter Thiel, Northbridge Venture Partners, along with others. Quora was founded by Adam D'Angelo and Charlie Cheever, two former Facebook employees.

    NVIDIA, Intellectual Ventures Snag Patents From IPWireless
    Santa Clara-based NVIDIA, the developer of graphics chips, has tied with patent storehouse Intellectual Ventures to acquire approximately 500 patents from IPWireless.     Wild Needle Acquired By Zynga
    Wild Needle Games, a developer of female-focused casual games, has been acquired by Zynga, according to multiple reports. Rumored price of the deal was $3.8M. Wild Needle was backed by Shasta Ventures, Rick Thompson of Playdom, along with others. The firm's first title was Shoptown Hero. Wild Needle was based in Mountain View.

    Thoma Bravo Completes SonicWall Sale
    San Francisco-based private equity firm Thoma Bravo has completed its sale of SonicWall to Dell, the firm said last week. The deal was announced in March, and completed on May 9th. Financial details of the deal have not been announced. Thoma Bravo took SonicWall private in June of 2010.

    Aquantia Connects With $35M
    Milpitas-based Aquantia, which develops high speed, Ethernet PHY semiconductors for the 10GBASE-T market, has raised $35M in a Series F funding, the firm said today. The round came from RUSNANO, along with current investors. Aquantaia said that, as part of the deal, it will estabilish a new design center in Russia, which will provide chip design, software development, and product testing for the company's chips.
