 Friday, June 15, 2012 Global Blood Therapeutics Finds $40.7M For Sickle Cell Treatments San Francisco-based Global Blood Therapeutics said this week that it has raised $40.7M in a Series A financing, for its efforts to develop oral, small molecule drugs for treating conditions such as sickle cell disease. The funding came from Third Rock Ventures. The funding was led by Mark Cuban and included 500 Startups, Turner Media Camp, Vikas Gupta, Niket Desai, Reed Morse, David Beyer and Jeffrey Schox.
