    SanDisk Buys Flash Software Firm
    Milpitas-based flash memory manufacturer SanDisk said Tuesday that it has acquired Schooner Information Technology, a developer software for managing flash-optimized database and data storage. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. SanDisk said that Schooner become part of its Enterprise Storage Solutions (ESS) team. Schooner's software is used to improve the performance of in-memory databases running on flash and solid state memory.

    Solum Harvests $17M
    Mountain View-based Solum, a developer of technology which helps farmers better measure the nutrients in their soil, has raised $17M in a Series B funding. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz. Solum's technology helps farmers gain better yield from their fields. The firm is led by Nick Koshnick.

    TraxPay Gets $4M
    Mountain View-based Traxpay announced this morning that it has raised $4M in a funding round , which was led by Earlybird Venture Capital. Traxpay is providing business-to-business (B2B) payment services, aimed at helping companies send and receive payments to suppliers. The funding goes toward expansion with customers in Europe, as well as a planned expansion into the United States.     Blue Jeans Network Takes $25M For Web Video Conferencing
    Mountain View-based Blue Jeans Network, a provider of web-based, video conferencing services, said today that it has raised $25M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by new Enterprise Associates, and also included Accel Partners and Norwest Venture Partners. The firm, which is led by Krish Ramakrishnan, said the funding brings its total raised to $48.5M.
