Thursday, July 26, 2012 Roku Gets $45M Saratoga-based Roku, the developer of streaming video and television devices, said this morning that it has raised $45M in a strategic investment round. The round came from News Corp., British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB), Menlo Ventures and Globespan Capital Partners, along with other strategic investors. The firm said it will use the new funding for advertising, international expansion, and engineering and production.
