![]() Thursday, August 9, 2012 Google To Pay $22.5M Over Safari Privacy Mountain View-based Google will pay the FTC $22.5M to settle the company's issues with placing tracking cookies in Apple's Safari internet Browser, the FTC said Wednesday. The Federal Trade Commission had charged that Google had misrepresented to users of Apple's Safari Internet browser that it would not place tracking “cookies” or serve targeted ads to those users. Epstein is currently executive-in-residence at Bessemer Venture Partners, and is a senior advisor to Oak Hill Capital Partners.
