Salesforce.com had said it would pay $689M for Buddy media in June. Actian said it has offered to pay $8.50 per share in cash for Pervasive, making the deal worth around $154M. Actian said that Pervasive is a "excellent strategic fit for Actian". Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Clutch.io said that Twitter has acquired the IP of Clutch.io, hired its team, but wil lbe shutting down the firm's service. Financial details of the acquisition have not yet been announced. Frommer's, which publishes a lengthly list of travel books and guides, will become part of Zagat, the restaurant review unit now owned by Google. Two thirds of those cuts were outside the U.S. Google said the cuts come along with plans to close or consolidate about one-third of 90 facilities owned by Motorola.
