    tenXer Hits Goal, Raises $3M
    San Francisco-based tenXer, an online service which helps people track their progress towards personal goals, has raised $3M in a Series B funding, the company said Tuesday. The round was led by True Ventures, and also included Radar Partners, Khosla Ventures, and angels.     LifeLock, Backed By Bay Area Investors, Files For IPO
    LifeLock, a provider of identity theft protection services which is backed by a number of Bay Area investors, has filed for a $175M IPO. The company--which is venture backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Goldman Sachs & Co., Symantec, and Industry Ventures--said it is looking to list on the New York Stock Exchange as LOCK.     Mailgun Acquired By Rackspace
    San Francisco-based Mailgun, the developer of a cloud-based, email services API, has been acquired by cloud hosting firm Rackspace Hosting. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been announced. Mailgun was a Y Combinator startup, and provides application programming interfaces (APIs) used by developers to manage sending and receiving email from their applications and websites.     Xilinx Buys PetaLogix
    San Jose-based programmable logic provider Xilinx said this morning that it has acquired PetaLogix, a developer of embedded Linux software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Xilinx said the buy would help strengthen its capabilities. PetaLogix develops embedded Linux products specifically for Xilinx FPGAs.     Yahoo Hires CMO
    Yahoo said last night that it has hired Kathy Savitt as its new Chief Marketing Officer last night, as new CEO Marissa Mayer continues to build out her team.
