Wednesday, October 31, 2012 Crossing Automation Acquired By Brooks Automation Fremont-based Crossing Automation, a developer of automation tools for the semiconductor market, has been acquired by Massachusetts-based Brooks Automation. According to Brooks, the deal is worth $63M in cash. The company said that Crossing Automation had revenues of approximately $51M for the twelve months ended September 30, 2012.

iSocket Raises $8M For Advertising Tools Burlingame-based iSocket has raised $8M in a Series A funding round, the firm said today. The round was led by Foundry Group, and also included Costanoa, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, SoftTech VC, Accelerator, Quest, and Blumberg Capital. iSocket's software tools are used by online publishers to manage premium display advertising on their web sites.
