SnapVolumes Launches With $2.3M In Seed Funding Los Altos-based SnapVolumes said it has emerged from stealth mode, and raised $2.3M in a seed funding round. Drip Drop Finds Funding San Francisco-based Drip Drop, a developer of medically forumlated, oral rehydration solutions used to treat dehydration and other issues, said today that it has raised a round of equity funding. VirnetX Wins Patent Suit Against Apple Patent holding firm VirnetX has scored a big win against Apple, after Apple was ordered to pay $368.2M to VirnetX over virtual private network technology. Betabrand Gets Funding For Crowdsourced Clothing San Francisco-based Betabrand, a startup looking to tap the wisdom of the crowds to design and produce clothing, has raised $6.5M in a Series B funding. The firm, founded by Chris Landland (Cordarounds), said the funding was led by Foundry Ventures. Betabrand lets people vote on clothing designs, which it will use crowdsourcing to modify and hone before putting into production.

ServiceMax Lands $27M Pleasanton-based ServiceMax, which develops cloud-based, mobile field service applications, said today that it has raised $27M in a Series D investment.
