Insightly Names Brockway, Holleran To Board San Francisco-based customer relationship management (CRM) software developer Insightly has named Gregg Brockway and Matt Holleran to its board of directors, the firm said today. Brockway was co-founder and CEO of TripIt, and Holleran is a venture partner at Emergence Capital Partners. Insightly just raised $3M in a financing round from Emergence Capital Partners in October.

Intel's Otellini To Step Down Santa Clara-based Intel said today that President and CEO Paul Otellini is retiring in May, after 40 years at the company. Otellini said it was "time to move on" and transfer leadership of the company to a "new generation." Intel said its board of directors is conducting a process to choose Otellini's successor. Otellini is only Intel's fifth in its 45 years.

Socialbakers Raises $6M San Francisco-based Socialbakers, a developer of social media analytics software and services, said today that it has raised $6M in a funding round. The round was led by Index Ventures, and also included Earlybird Venture Capital. Socialbakers said it will use the funding to continue to build out its platform. The firm said it clients include McDonald's, Nestle, Henkel, LVMH, and Vodafone. The firm's CEO is Jan Rezab.

Cisco Buys Meraki For $1.2 Billion San Jose-based Cisco said Sunday that it will pay $1.2 billion in cash for San Francisco-based networking products company Meraki. Cisco said the buy will help expand its network offerings, particularly in the midmarket business area.
