    Mine Finds $600K For Social Commerce App
    Palo Alto-based Mine, a newly launched developer of applications for helping users discover new products and stores, said today that it has raised $600,000 in a seed funding round, and launched its iPhone app. The funding round came from Michael Dearing of Harrison Metal Capital. Mine, which is led by Pierre Legrain, lets users import their receipts from Amazon, iTunes, Zappos, and Etsy, and then lets other consumers discover and purchase those same it (More info...)

    Google Pushes Chromebooks Via Educational Discount
    Google is hoping to gain better adoption for its Chromebook, the firm's Chrome-based notebook computer, by offering those machines at a heavily discounted price of $99. Google said it is working with DonorsChoose.org to offer up its Samsung Series 5 chromebooks for only $99, including hardware, management, and support, a big discount from its usual $399 price (More info...)

    CARDFREE Gets $10M
    San Francisco-based CARDFREE, a developer of mobile commerce products that integrate with point-of-sale systems, has raised $10M in a Series A, the company said today. The company said the funding came last month. Source of the new funding was not announced. CARDFREE said it is part of a portfolio of companies advised by Mercury Payments Systems founder Jeffrey Katz.     Delivery Agent Lands $3M In Strategic Funding
    San Francisco-based Delivery Agent, the developer of e-commerce applications which tie into television and entertainment content, said today that it has raised $5M in a strategic investment round. The round came from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, the venture capital arm of the Samsung Group.
