    Green Plug Raises Series C
    San Ramon-based Green Plug, a company developing programmable, mixed-signal controllers for the power controller market, said this week that it has raised a Series C funding round. Size of the round was not announced. GreenPlug said the funding came from Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE: IMG), Herald Ventures, Killik & Co., as well as Peninsula Ventures. Green Plug's technology is aimed at creating a universal power interface for electronics.

    Airbnb Buys Localmind
    San Francisco-based Airbnb said Thursday that it has acquired Localmind, a developer of a platform which crowdsources information on the "local scene" from users. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Airbnb said it has acquired the technology, intellectual property, product, and team behind Localmind. Airbnb said that it specifically acquired Localmind to help bolster its team, plus to add new social initiatives into Airbnb.

    Stipple Sees $3M More
    San Francisco-based Stipple, a firm that develops image-based advertising and e-commerce tools, said Thursday that it has raised $3M in funding. The funding came from Sands Capital. Stipple develops a service which tags images, and makes them available via an API to merchants like Zappos, Nike, Nordstrom, and L'Oreal.     Oracle Acquires DataRaker
    Redwood Shores-based Oracle said Thursday that it has acquired DataRaker, a developer of a cloud-based, analytics platform for electric, gas and water utilities. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. DataRaker's software is used to collect data from smart meters and sensors, and is used to analyze and understand that data. DataRaker was based in Sausalito.

    SolarCity Up In IPO
    Foster City-based SolarCity, the provider of solar power purchase agreements for the solar installation market, debuted in its IPO this morning, after pricing at $8 per share Wednesday evening. The firm was trading as high as $11.00 in morning trading. SolarCity sold 11.5 million shares at $8 in the IPO. SolarCity was backed by Elon Musk, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Generation IM Climate Solutions Fund, DBL Investors, Mayfield Fund, Shea Ventures and Va (More info...)

    Dropbox Buys Audiogalaxy
    San Francisco-based cloud storage provider Dropbox has acquired AudioGalaxy, the operator of an online music streaming service. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The buy appears to be primarily an employee acquisition for Dropbox, as the founders of Audiogalaxy said they would be shutting down access to the service to new users and will be joining Dropbox to "bring great new experiences" to D (More info...)
