![]() Wednesday, May 15, 2013 Mellanox Buys Kotura Mellanox Technologies, the developer of interconnect hardware for the server and storage market--and which has been a pioneer in the Infiniband market--has acquired optical photonics firm Kotura. Mellanox said it would pay $82M in cash for Kotura, in a deal which will bolster its ability to deliver optical, high speed networking equipment. The funding was led by Adams Street Partners, and also included Cisco Systems, El Dorado Ventures and Partech International. Atlantis Computing is developing virtual desktop infrastructure software which optimizes the use of storage in data centers.
