Redwood City-based Obopay has received $7M in a strategic investment round from Qualcomm and other investors. Obopay said today that Qualcomm, Redpoint Ventures, ONSET Ventures, and Richmond Management all participated in its new round of funding. Obopay is working with Qualcomm on adoption of peer-to-peer mobile payments solution on Qualcomm's BREW wireless development environment. The funding will go towards marketing and operations.
