Pluto Games Gets $500K For Kids Games

Menlo Park-based Pluto Games, which develops children's games for the iPad, said Friday that it has raised $500,000 in a seed funding. The round came from YouWeb, along with angel investors David Roux, co-founder and Chairman of Silver Lake, Brett Wander, Chief Investment Officer at Charles Schwab, and Praful Shah, former VP Marketing at WebEx. The company said the funding will go towards its tablet based apps and games. Pluto's flagship title is Pluto Learns Piano, which teaches children piano. The company was founded by Luis Sampedro.
