Premise Finds $11M More For Mobile Economics

San Francisco-based Premise, a company looking to help map local economic conditions using mobile phones, said Thursday that it has raised $11M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by The Social+Capital Partnership, and also included Google Ventures, Harrison Metal and Bowery Capital. Chamath Palihapitiya of Social+Capital has joined the company's board as part of the funding. Premise develops mobile apps for developing areas, letting farmers measure local data to help map local economic landscapes, prices, and services.
