SI-BONE Connects With $33M

San Jose-based SI-BONE, a developer of medical devices used for back surgery, has raised $33M more in funding, the company said today. SI-BONE said the funding came from Orbimed and Novo A/S, and also included prior investors Skyline Ventures and Montreux Equity Partners. SI-BONE has developed a minimally invasive surgical device for fusing the sacroiliac (SI) joint. The company said the funds will go towards regulatory efforts, growth of its sales organization, expansion outside the US, along with other efforts. The company has now raised around $59M in funding.
