    Splunk Upgrades IT Search Tools

San Francisco-based Splunk, a developer of search tools for IT managers, said today that it has upgraded its software platform, adding what the company describes as "substantial" scalability and manageability improvements. According to the firm, its software--which is used to search through and decode IT management logs--now provides up to 10x faster search and 2x faster indexing of data.
