    Spore Hits Facebook

Maxis and Electronic Arts are jumping into the Facebook gaming world today, saying that they have taken their Spore franchise and created a new, Facebook game called Spore Islands. According to the firms, the 2D videogame is one of the first developed and published by Electronics Arts on Facebook, and will allow users to create creatures and evolve them on their own islands, along with other players. The game follows a similar theme as Spore's various titles on the PC, Mac, Wii, and Nintendo DS.
