Oakland-based StockTwits, a micro blogging and messaging site focused on financial news and the stock market, has raised $3M in a Series B round, the firm said today. The round was led b Foundry Group, and also included True Ventures. Brad Feld of Foundry also was an investor. Among uses of the funding will be the launch of new original programming on StockTwits TV, a desktop application, and a Blackberry application. More information »
