    Tapatap Raises $2.5M


    San Mateo-based Tapatap, an online community focused on mobile and web contests, said Thursday that it has raised $2.5M in a Series A funding. The round came from gabriel Venture Partners, and comes in conjunction with the beta launch of the firm's web site. Tapatap is targeting the teen and Generation Y audience with daily prizes and contests. Silicontap.com first reported the funding in March.
