Alviso-based TiVo has been awarded $103M plus interest in a lawsuit filed by the firm against EchoStar. According to TiVo, the decision came from the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, after an appeal by EchoStar. TiVo had filed a patent infringement lawsuit against EchoStar over its digital video recording technology in 2004.
